Chirr

A cool, rocky desert world orbiting a dim, red star near the edge of Deep Space. Wind has carved immense mesas, canyons, and dry valleys along its surface, while hardy burgundy and black vegetation gathers around scattered oases and the seasonal rivers that briefly return with the rains. The reclusive inhabitants of Chirr have carved their homes directly into the cliffs and sandstone outcrops overlooking the water sources, keeping to a way of life that has changed little for centuries. Across the deserts stand immense pre-Darkening ruins, their weathered stone monuments and abandoned cities serving as a source of mythologized unease to many who dwell beyond them. Four major cultures can be found on the sparsely populated Chirr: Cho-Tess - A nation primarily supported by trade, and the first to greet slipstream traders post-Darkening without suspicion. They live in the shadowed northern canyon of Tess where they have dug large wells that supply water year-round. The Cho-Tess have the largest fully functional spaceport on Chirr, and are the typical landing area for any outsiders to become acquainted to the planet. Cho-Rom - A people huddled around the largest oasis on Chirr called "Am-Corro". The Cho-Rom people quickly adopted land traversal vehicles from the wider galaxy, that the Cho-Tess trade them for fuel for.
